Connect

Add HookPack to your AI agent once.

HookPack is an MCP server, so it works with Claude, Codex, Cursor or any agent that supports MCP. After you add it, your agent searches the styles and sounds on its own whenever you ask it to edit a video.

Your HookPack address
https://www.hookpack.xyz/mcp

Claude Code

  1. Run this once in a terminal:
claude mcp add --scope user --transport http hookpack https://www.hookpack.xyz/mcp

Codex

  1. Add this to ~/.codex/config.toml (or a project's .codex/config.toml):
[mcp_servers.hookpack]
url = "https://www.hookpack.xyz/mcp"

Cursor

  1. Add this to ~/.cursor/mcp.json (or .cursor/mcp.json in your project):
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "hookpack": {
      "url": "https://www.hookpack.xyz/mcp"
    }
  }
}

Claude desktop and web apps

  1. Open Settings, then Connectors.
  2. Choose Add custom connector and paste the address above.

Any other agent

Add a remote MCP server using the Streamable HTTP transport at the address above. No key is needed.

Then ask for the edit

  1. Start a new session in the folder with your video. Agents read a server's instructions when they connect, so open a fresh one.
  2. Ask, for example: Caption this clip with HookPack and add sound effects.

What you need on your machine

The edit renders on your side, so use an agent that can run commands on your computer, with Node.js and FFmpeg installed. The agent sets up everything else itself the first time.
